I had no idea, but apparently today was Aloha Friday at the restaurant supply Place. Hazel happened to be wearing a Hawaiian print dress and I don’t think they have many kids in the restaurant supply store so all the workers were looking at her
Margot has a wonderful smile when she’s happy. The way to see it to make a joke or do something silly make her laugh. The way NOT to see it is to say "Smile!" or "Cheese!" lol
I bought Hazel a 291 page chapter book yesterday, she hadn’t really tried reading a chapter book but I thought she was ready. She finished the entire book in under 24 hours, barely put it down. I even quizzed her on parts because I was
We’re at a birthday party at kids gym. Margot doesn’t want to play, but is very happy with the Mac and cheese and watching.
Kim bought two white strawberry plants to add to the strawberry wall. They are small, but delicious. I’ve got a few empty spots on the wall, I might need to find a few more of these plants. Only issue now is Margot wants to pick
Hazel was VERY excited to ski her first Black Diamond runs yesterday. She did an awesome job.
Hazel earned some video time, so I was letting them watch a little. I was doing a few things on the computer, and looked up to see them watching like this.

Hazel has been proudly telling us about her group of friends at school, and how they’ve dubbed themselves the "Nature Team" because they are the kids not afraid to touch bugs. Hazel’s "super powers" as Nature Girl is that she can apparently make bushes quickly
We rarely watch movies or TV, but tonight we did, with a picnic in the living room. The Incredibles was too scary, but A Bugs Life is only mildly too scary. It’s OK with snuggling.
It blows me away that Hazel can write in two completely different writing systems. Love her school.
