Although I could have written it, that last email was actually from hazel. She asked to take a picture of me and send it to grandma "I think grandma would like that. " On Jul 19, 2014 10:31 AM, "Geoff Jennings" <g> wrote: I love you
Thanks!

Paige, Thanks for the visit night. It was great to see you. Hazel loves Margot’s book. 🙂 Geoff
Dr Hazel

We are reading one if Geoff’s old books on people and professions. Hazel loves playing doctor and one of the characters in the book is doctor, and the book shows how she takes patients pulses, looks in their ears, eyes, and throats. She’s taking my pulse. 🙂
Lemonade

Hazel got a box of lemonade for finding the tortoise at Trader Joe’s. She asked Kim "mommy, do lemons make lemonade?" Kim "yes" Hazel "But I know lemons don’t have hands?!"
Water bottle

Used my REI dividend to get Hazel her own stainless steel water bottle. She was very excited
Hazel wanted a treat from Starbucks. I put my foot down, and said no.
Hazel had a very specific request today

"I want a poached egg smiley face for breakfast"

“Daddy, you promised!”

This morning, before I went to exercise, I told Hazel I’d take her to starbucks. I’d forgotten, but hazel hadn’t!

Tango

We went to dance downtown tango night last night. Hazel wanted to dance. As we were swaying and twirling to the music and kicking one leg back and forth like the charleston (like she would normally to a swing song), she noticed a lady in red dancing in really closed position with her eyes closed. […]
San Diego Zoo Wild Animal Park

Pictures from our trip to the San Diego wild animal park a few weeks ago. Hazel had a great time. Margot slept a lot. Super neat place. Lot’s of walking. I didn’t take a ton of pictures, my hands were full much of the day. My favorites are attached, but you can see the whole […]
So are we gonna eat this cake or what?

We are at Kevin’s birthday party, and Hazel is eyeing the cake.
Jumping

Hazel and I took a walk to Starbucks this morning, so kim could sleep in a little and because we like it. Hazel decided to jump over all the cracks in the sidewalk. Slow trip, but fun to watch
Splash pad

I don’t know why we’ve never been to this splash pad. It’s very close to our house, walking distance from Kim’s mom’s house, and free. Hazel had fun, but there were some tears.
I’m going to count to three

I just told Hazel I had to put the dishes away, and she said, with a big grin, "daddy, I’m going to count to three, and you need to come play or lose your privileges" Cheeky monkey
Beach day!

I asked Hazel to look up, but she said, “I’m too, too, too, too busy” She repeats words for emphasis a lot, which I find pretty cute. The other day she was talking about an elephant and I thing she said about 15 “great”s before she said big.
Omelettes

Hazel is learning to cook and helped me make this omelette
Sweet Child of Mine

Hazel is nearly 3 – just 2.5 months shy of turning 3 – and she is talking up a storm. Her personality is really showing. Margot is 6 weeks and growing fast; she’s this squishy little sweetheart that hates the carseat but still seems a little more mellow than Hazel as a baby. Though these […]

Coconut tree

Hazel has been carrying around the dog that my grandma gave her when we were in England when she was 8 months old. She recently gave it a name "coconut tree".

First time wearing a dress. Dressed up for mother’s day. (Mom/grandma made this for Hazel)
Reading

Hazel likes books, and it’s not uncommon to find her sitting quietly, "reading" her books.

Hazel and I are playing hide and seek. She’s hiding
Family trip to Lowe’s

Sent from my phone. Please excuse brevity and typos. Kim and Hazel are building the flower delivery truck while Margot and look.at plants and wander around.

I don’t know whose daughter hazel is.

Took her into h&m to look for a hat, since the one we brought us too small. She won’t leave. She loves to shop. She picked up a purse, and won’t put it back.
