Hazel made (with some help) chocolate covered strawberries, and I made mushroom Alfredo pasta and sous vide scallops. Hazel made me a card, and wrote "I love you" in Chinese!

Margot has been talking non stop today. 3 people commented on how talkative she is.

Hazel is so into reading that she won’t stop even to brush her teeth

Holding up to the light, checking her orange slices for seeds.

Margot has been potty training for awhile, but kept asking for diapers. I knew she could do it, but just didn’t want it. So I bribed her. I told her if she went 7 days wearing underwear without accidents, she’d get a toy. Each day

Hazel’s afterschool program had a "showcase" yesterday, where each class did a dance routine, and they had projects from the last few months on display. Hazel loved performing the routine.

Had a very long weekend at the shop this weekend. But tonight was nice. A good dinner cooked by Kim, and then a nice time assembling Lego with Hazel. Lego was my favorite growing up. Only problem now is that Hazel doesn’t need any help

We hung out, read books, played, and went to Kidspace. Margot plays really well on her own and I join her now and then between laundry and packing for our trip for some fun with blocks, legislation, and dancing to Gin Blossoms. She is my

Hazel has been having a bit of a tough time with me returning to the working world. The other day she requested a daddy-Hazel date. 🙂

Glad they enjoyed it. I thought it looked fun!

Mom, thanks for Hazel’s present. They loved doing their science kit.

Me: Margot, you can have string cheese when you help Hazel clean up the Play-Doh. M: I can’t…. (Wailing). I can’t! Me: why not? M: me a Froggy. Froggies don’t have hands! (Wailing continues)

My little snuggle bunny. For a while Margot was super, super into Kim, and would say things like "Me not like Daddy, me want mommy". I know it’s normal and usual for kids to go through stages like that, but I had a hard time

I had a great time playing in the snow, making Olaf, sledding, and walking around and exploring Durango with the family. New Years Eve was topped off by watching Hazel conquer her movie fears by watching Horton Hears a Who, and watching Margot run around

Margot is quite fond of it these days. She also frequently insists on being called froggy herself.

Margot and I are out and about today. Since I let Hazel have a "Anything you want " treat at Starbucks the other day, I made the same offer to Margot. She chose the organic fruit squeeze pouch. I asked her why she chose that.

I don’t think I’ve ever met a person as enthusiastic about passion fruit as Margot, especially for a toddler.

She did have a little help, but Olaf was her idea.
