These little moments are my great joys.

I just told Margot that in 10 minutes we’re going to leave and pick up Hazel. And then we’re going to the playroom at YMCA where she and Hazel will play while I exercise. I asked her if that was ok with her. She immediately grinned widely and nodded. Then she turned around and jumped up and down with her little arms in the air yelling Yay Yay Yay! She was so excited to be going to play with Hazel soon. Love it. I really feel like she has grown so much over the vacation these past few weeks. More words, more voice, more opinions. I just love it all and observing it emerge is my great joy.

The picture is from a few days ago when she ran towards me as soon as she saw me come home from work.

Hazel was teasing me a little about my pie not being “from scratch” because I used a gluten free flour blend, while she mixes her own flour blends. I pointed out that I grew the apples, and it doesn’t get much more from scratch than
