Popsicle Party

Margot had a very specific request for her birthday this year. She wanted an ice pop party at the store, and she wanted to invite her class from school. So instead of the normal parties we’ve done in years past, that’s what we did.

I had two other selling events the same day for the store, plus the store was open during the party, so Sat was crazy trying to get things ready and I didn’t sleep much. Huge thanks to Kim and my employee Chanele for putting all my plans in place and setting up.

I gotta say, I think it turned out pretty well. We had an ice pop photo booth, then the kids all got to make their own ice pops. I had ingredients and some suggestions prepared, but the kids invented their own flavors. It was the most colorful batch of ice pops I’ve ever made.

While the ice pops froze for an hour, we did popsicle stick puppets, broke a pinata, sang to Margot, and ate cupcakes and ice pops from the store. Then ate the ice pops the kids had made.

It was fantastic. Margot was beaming all day.
