I actually didn’t get many photos, most of the exhibits were hands on, and since it was just me with the girls (Kim is on a work trip), my hands were pretty full. I’ve been on the JPL campus before with friends, and for meetings, but I’d only seen a fraction of what I saw yesterday. We got driven on by Rover’s, did experiments, saw Assembly rooms and the mission control rooms.

The staff was awesome. They were all obviously excited to share their work and pleased to see people so excited about it.

Hazel wore her astronaut outfit, and people got a real kick out of it.

The event was busy, for sure, and there was a line for some exhibits at times, but manegable. Just a very, very cool day.

Next year I’ll try and get tickets for both days. It was too much to see in one day, even if you went alone.

Hazel has been working really hard at school this year. Soccer practice 4 days a week after school, volunteering, an AP class as a freshman, student newspaper, homework, etc. There have been some late evenings and skipping some family stuff to work. She’s been putting

Kim picked pomegranates this morning. Most of these are the size of a softball, and the tree still has lots.

Margot recently decided she wanted to crochet a chicken. She didn’t have a kit or instructions. She just looked at some pictures of chickens online for “inspo” and then made this up in her head then crocheted it. I’m amazed at how she just figures

Pulp and LCD Soundsystem Hazel loves Pulp. She was a little surprised to find out they are in their 60’s and that most of the crowd is my age or older, lol. We had a really great time at the concert. Kim and Margot decided

As parents, we often get caught up in trends we don't fully understand. Trader Joe's mini cooler bags have gained immense popularity, with people eagerly queuing for them! My daughter Margot was excited to find the perfect peach bag for her school lunch. After months

Video from my recent Grand Canyon trip with my 11 year daughter. Her second time down the canyon, and she has done other big river trips. But I was nervous because she was the only kid on the trip, other trips she has at least

Hazel has her promotion from 8th grade tonight and Margot made her a card.

Margot has been drawing friendly monsters, and I’m really impressed. She drew this for Kim for mother’s Day.

Ran into this guy outside PetSmart, and now Margot wants a Tegu lizard.

Not a great picture, but this morning I woke up to the sound of someone working in the kitchen. A bit later Hazel bursts into the room proudly announcing “I made crepes!”
