Kim and I, with our friends Ray and Jeff, went out to Santa Cruz this weekend. On Saturday, we paddled from Scorpion cove to Smugglers Harbor, then back to sCorpion where we camped for the night. Sunday, we loaded our gear into the kayaks and paddled to Prisoner’s Harbor, then hiked 3.5 steep, hilly miles to camp. today, we hiked back out, then did a nice short paddle before catching the boat back to the mainland. We saw sea lions, seals, bat rays, jelly fish, and more, including the largest pod of dolphins I think I have ever seen. Good times with good company!

Sadly, my “waterproof” camera was not, and died on it’s first snorkeling trip. Damn. So I only got pictures from the first part of Sat and a few from Ray. Trust me, the rest of the weekend only got prettier.
