Eclipse 2024

When I heard about the April 8, 2024 Eclipse, I knew we wanted to go. I’d never seen a total eclipse. The fact that it would go nearly straight over my brother’s place in Texas made it an even easier decision. When I checked the school calendar and realized spring break was the week prior we decided to load up the truck and made a long road trip out of it, with some very fun stops along the way.

We had a couple of great days skiing Copper Mountain and Arapaho Basin during our Spring break road trip to see the eclipse. These were some of the areas I grew up skiing, so I loved revisiting them and sharing them with Kim and the girls.

A quick day visit to Arches, with a hike to the famous delicate Arch.

Arapahoe Basin was one of my favorite ski areas growing up. I had a blast revisiting it yesterday. Hazel was not feeling great (altitude?) so she rested. Kim, Margot and I had a great time. Margot was tireless and I was pretty whipped after following her around all day. (Kim took more breaks).
