Kim and I had been to Rarotonga in 2010, and had been talking about going back ever since. But it hadn’t happened. A few months ago one of the many alerts I have set up for cheap flights showed a cheap flight to Raro, and I noticed the available dates coincided with the girls spring break, so it didn’t take long to check with Kim and book the tickets. We had seen photos of the lagoon in Aitutaki, so we decided to visit there too.
We had a couple nice days on Rarotonga, including scuba diving, good food, and snorkeling. We then flew to Aitutaki, where we had two incredible days touring the lagoon and doing some amazing snorkeling, including an amazing encounter with a curious sea turtle. Back to Raro for one more night before our all too soon flight home. A quick, but memorable and very fun trip.
