Last weekend I once again had the great pleasure of spending a fantastic few days on the river with a great bunch of folks. Kristi, Carlos, Ryo, Ting, Beckett, Kim and I got together for a few days of paddling on the South Fork American River. What a great time. Not only the was the paddling fun, but the conversation and camraderie were fantastic.

We ran a bunch of stuff. Chilibar with a pretty high flow (with Kim and I paddling an Inflatable, but I took along a skirt and begged rides in resting paddlers boats at 1st threat. ) Kim and I did C-to-G a few times with her learning her new boat. And a bunch of us did the gorge run late sunday evening. Lots of paddling, but the pictures mostly show those that were playboating more.

Fun fun. [nggallery id=”1605″ nggid=”69″]

Hazel is an avid, avid reader, and devours books. She seems to pick up and use new words really well too. The funny part is that she frequently uses words that she is learned from a book, but probably hasn’t heard much, so she uses
