Last Saturday was my graduation ceremony for my MBA degree. It was a bit bittersweet. I was proud to be done, but sad that my friends would all be going their separate ways. I’ve loved the program, and made friends with some incredible folks. I’d thought about a graduate degree for many years, and it was everything I wanted and more, so I was sad to be over with it, but excited about the future.

Baja Surf Kayak Trip

Not a lot of story to tell, but after graduation, I was looking for a short vacation. I met up with Chris, Bruce and Dennis in Southern California, and we loaded up Chris’ big old SUV, and drove into Baja. The surf was small, but we had a good time. Surf friday, Saturday, and headed back Sunday. Went to the fish market and bought great fresh fish. Cooked and hung out in camp.
Surf was a bit small and dissapointing, but it was a good weekend hanging out.

For the last two years, I’ve been a full time student at UC Davis, working on an MBA degree. I’ve learned a ton, and really felt like it was worthwhile.
I’ve also been blessed to be surrounded by some of the coolest people I’ve ever had the privilege to associate with. Smart, funny, and generous folks. After next Saturday, people will be moving on, taking jobs all over the place. They’ll be leaders in their fields, and I can’t wait to hear where they all land, and the differences they’ll make. …
