Baja Whale Watching Road Trip 2022

In 2022, we took an amazing trip to Baja in our van, with our good friends. Sadly Kim couldn’t make the trip. We all slept in the van, with three of us in the roof top tent, three on the platform in the back , and one on a bench seat. It worked great and we had an amazing time. Lots of stories, lots of shell collecting, and the most amazing whale encounters you could imagine. Several big albums of photos can be found in each of the posts below.

Like normal, I was behind prepping for the trip. The day our friends showed up, I was still putting the final touches on the roof rack I built for the van. But finish I did, and early Sunday morning we were off. Our first stop was San Felipe, where elotes and other street food were picked up, photos were taken, and after a short break we drove on to Bahia de San Luis Gonzaga, a wonderful spot on the Sea of Cortez side.
