This process actually started about 4-5 months ago, with a seed. Hazel and I baked the worlds slowest pie yesterday.

This is a Blue Hubbard squash. Tough to cut. Inside looks and tastes like pumpkin, perhaps a little sweeter. Cut it into chunks, then roasted it.

Hazel broke 6 eggs into a bowl, with no shell in any of it!

Hazel loved the roasted squash, and ate a ton. luckily we had lots.

She loved using the food processor to make the puree. We actually made a bunch of puree for the freezer.

She got some on her face goofing around.

We talked about measurements a lot. We’ve already measured milk, butter, and sugar. Here she is measuring "by MYSELF" the spices.

Parchment paper makes rolling sticky gluten-free dough much easier. Hazel loved this part.

Get dressed up for dinner. She was napping while the pie baked and excited to see it when it came out of the oven!

The best part! Eating it with real whipped cream.

Hazel is an avid, avid reader, and devours books. She seems to pick up and use new words really well too. The funny part is that she frequently uses words that she is learned from a book, but probably hasn’t heard much, so she uses
