A little sick…

Hazel woke up a few minutes ago, much later than normal. She was showing signs of being a little under the weather yesterday.

When she woke, we had a short conversation:

H: where is mommy?
G: oh, she had to leave for work already. Good morning. How are you? H: maybe I’m a little sick…May I have some milk please?

I go get milk, giving it to her in bed (don’t normally) because she still looks sleepy. She takes a small drink.

H: daddy, lie down with me….

I do, she snuggles up close. And she’s asleep again.

Hazel had her first game with the school soccer team. She played super well, especially considering it’s been 4+ months since she played a game.

We took the girls for the long promised and long overdue ear piercing, and then for some nice indian food after.

Hazel had a poetry assignment for school. They had to create a book with a certain number of different styles of poems, including haikus, cinquain, diamante, ballads, ode, and elegy.

We did Tuesday tacos, and Margot was playing with my phone while we waited. She said she was trying to look mysterious.

And she’s happiest in the gift store, reading the science books. —
