Had an awesome day on the boat yesterday. Went to Long Beach Harbor

Great place to sail. Lot’s of open space, but protected by a
breakwater so no big swells. Lot’s of bird, saw sea lions on the
boueys. Fun. We had enough wind most of the day that I never raised
the jib. Hazel had a good time playing in the puddle. The boat
handled the wind, wave, and big boat wake really well. Scuppers worked
awesome. Good times.

we did have a boat issue, the attachment for the block to the boom,
the rivet blew out, but I was able to rig something using rope and
some other attachment points. It was a bit hard to do, but worked
fine. (happened early on).

Was so much better experience than the first time we went out I think
I’m more fired up to sail!!

Hazel had a great time at this weeklong summer camp. The week ends with a live performance, where Hazel played the keyboard on one song and sang on another. https://www.schoolofrock.com/locations/pasadena
