Last weekend, Kim and I drove to Lake Tahoe, parked the car in Squaw Valley, and rode about 50 miles around the Lake to South Lake Tahoe on Saturday. The route included everything from bike paths to rolling hills to a LONG climb that led to a screaming fast downhill. Super fun. Kim and I celebrated our anniversary this weekend (April 9) with a weekend trip to Monterrey Bay, CA. We went paddling Sat morning off a point near Pacific Grove. It was windy, and big, and stormy, so we didn’t get far, but it was a lot of fun.
After-wards, we hung out in the tide-pools, then checked out a street fair in PG. Checked into our hotel, then had a nice dinner.

My cousin had a 3 day visit this past weekend. We hadn’t seen each other in 20 years, so it was great to see each other and get to know each other better. Friday we spent a long day exploring LA, Hollywood, Santa Monica, and Venice, including the Walk of Fame and La Brea Tar Pits, the Boardwalk, and more.

We were going to my friends wedding (congrats Sara and Brett) in Northern California, and met up with our friends Paula and Erol and their gorgeous baby.  We didn’t do much, ate lunch, walked around, had frozen yogurt, and ate crickets.  Pretty mellow.  But super fun.  We miss them and wish they lived closer!
After that, we went to the wedding, which was gorgeous and fun, with several of my MBA classmates present.  Good food and dancing. Sunday we slept in and then went to a car museum.  Amazing cars.  Explored …

Christmas with Geoff’s family is no small affair. It goes for days. It’s always a little tough to make it to Texas for the holidays, but it’s always worth it.

Geoff’s parents come to visit for his Birthday. We visit Sacramento, Davis and a cold Lake Tahoe.

Kim and I had another fun weekend. Saturday we joined our freinds Erol and Paula for breakfast, then did a bike ride in Napa, stopping at several vineyards. Sunday I went to the Farmer’s Market, then we paddled the SF American with Jeff, Michael and Nini. M&N were in a Topo-Duo, like ours. First time we’ve ever paddled with someone else in a Topo. Monday we did a cool ride round Sacramento with Jeff B., then headed to Walnut Creek for lunch with Anuj and Shefali. Fun time.

It was a gorgeous day, with lot’s of sun, and a good amount of water.
